In 1972, brothers Norbert and Raymond Paszkiewicz along with Warren Class formed a business partnership devoted to developing a modern, attractive community in Rehoboth Beach for affordable year round and vacation homes. 

                              

In the summer of 1973, Colonial East MHP was opened to serve the many and varied needs of our growing community, close to shopping, entertainment and a whole host of activities, Colonial East MHP can meet the needs of all ages. 
 

                                                                                                                     

It was in 1973 that Norbert, Raymond and Warren were joined in the growth and expansion of our community by Warren’s sons Steve and Mark Class.  More recently Greg and Tony Paszkiewicz along with Ryan Class joined the team continuing the idea of providing affordable housing opportunities, a philosophy which remains as strong today as it was over forty five years ago.  Meeting the shore’s housing needs with thousands of satisfied homeowners Ryan, at the helm of Bayside Homes, continues the tradition into a third generation and a new millennium.

During the mid-eighties Colonial East, LP expanded their services with the development of Sussex East, a land-lease community dedicated to our growing 55+ population and located just west of Five Points on the Lewes Georgetown Highway.  Situated minutes from the beautiful beaches of Lewes yet offering a quiet country setting, Sussex East provides a comfortable surrounding for both full time and part time residents.                                    

Ten years later Colonial East, LP answered the call for affordable housing once more with the addition of its premier 55+ community, Sussex West.  In close proximity to Sussex East and carefully planned to provide comfort in a country setting, Sussex West features multi-sectional homes with attached garages.

Both communities share a beautiful community center; the Manor House, as well as a year-round indoor pool.  Still close to beaches, shopping and casinos, Sussex West and Sussex East communities provide a wonderful environment for active retirement living while remaining true to the standard of quiet country life that has to be seen to be believed.
